Why Free Splash?

The name comes from Magic: The Gathering. In Magic, decks are built around different colours of cards, and each colour needs the right kind of mana, a resource the game uses to cast spells. Add another colour and you usually need to adjust the lands in your deck to produce it, which can make the deck less consistent.

A splash is when you add just a few cards from an extra colour. A free splash is when your deck can support those cards with little or no real downside.

It's also something I say far too often at local Magic events. When I started building the shop, I wanted a name with a genuine connection to the game and to the way I actually play it, not something generic. Free Splash stuck.

What started with buying, selling, and collecting cards has grown into a proper TCG shop focused on Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon. We believe in straightforward pricing, honest condition descriptions, and careful packaging.
